RCCC Voyager or Navigator

I have just booked 18 nights Med on the Voyager. There is also a 17 night caribbean cruise on the Navigator for much cheaper price at the same time. Both destinations I love but have not been on either ship. Is the Voyager worth the extra buck compared to the Navigator?

Navigator is an older ship and the staterooms are not all balcony, but it's a great ship. Voyager will give you a minimum of 356 sq ft for a stateroom and all staterooms have a balcony. You'll have more selection aboard Voyager in the way of restaurants, entertainment, etc. Price is going to be variable, depending on the itinerary, so it all depends on where you want to go. I notice the ships you've cruised and you'll never go back to any of them once you cruise any RSSC ship. Don't know your timeframe, but I assume that it's in the fall? Make sure you really check out the specials, because there are some great deals aboard Voyager in the Med this summer. RSSC really rewards you for booking early too. Don't get me wrong, there are some great deals aboard Navigator as well. Voyager is 700 pax and Navigator is 490. Personally, I'd go with Voyager.

To accurately compare prices for the Navigator to the Voyager, you have to factor in a two category upgrade for the Navigator to get the same room as the "cheapest" on the Voyager. this will give you true "apples to apples" comparative pricing.

Other than that, we've been on both ships, and it's really a toss up. We like the Navigator's smaller size (500 guests max.) compared to the Voyager's larger size (700 max.) But, we like the greater number of alternative restaurants the Voyager has to offer. Warning: Both ships have been known to have vibration problems near the stern. So which ever you book, don't book a cabin that is too near the stern.
