Went last December and we had a great time. I didn't think the ship was beat up at all, we thought it was well taken care of. My aft balcony was amazing. It's an older ship but we all had a great time. No complaints here. But we are easy to please and it was our first cruise so we had nothing to compare it to. At some point sometimes you just have to stop reading reviews, it gets discouraging. Trust your decision and just have a good time. Only a small percentage of people actually write reviews, most people do not. There are so many people who had a great time and you never hear about it. It's fine. I guess it depends on your expectation, I always keep mine low to avoid disappointment but my expectations are always exceeded. Good luck.
