rad798 Posted August 31, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2014 Does Divina change time to match time at each Island? First time on Divina in October, but every other cruise we have taken out of Florida stayed on Eastern Standard Time. After reading several comments on some threads, some say the Divina changes to island time at each island. Also, a private excursion operator in Cozumel said in an e-mail that ship time would be the same as island time. Pretty sure Cozumel is CST though. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. In our cruises on the Divina time has not changed.
Bosjoe Posted August 31, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2014 They changed time on my cruise that they took in December. Its up to the captain if he wants to change it.
Thyme60 Posted August 31, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 31, 2014 Our cruise on the Divina which we took 2 weeks (east & west Caribbean) in feb/march earlier this year a time zone change was made several times and we were informed on the Daily cruise planner each time. Also in the theatre I think they reminded us at the end of the show to remember to change our watches to local time the following day.
sdishon1 Posted December 29, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 29, 2014 What did you find was the practice on your cruise? We are looking at booking an excursion in Cozumel, but want to be sure we have the correct time.... Thx
oreosmile Posted December 29, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 29, 2014 we sailed a B2B on Divina Nov 22 and 29th of this year and had time changes to match island time
hkto Posted December 30, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 30, 2014 Time was changed twice during Dec 13 cruise to reflect local port time. It was done prior to arrival to St.Martin (1 hr forward) and after departure from San Juan (1 hr back). So it's safe to assume that excursions are always on local port time
skyking Posted December 30, 2014 #8 Share Posted December 30, 2014 Plenty of time changes as well on our Divina sailing. Again as the others here they changed the time to match the time at each port.
