tfg Posted September 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2014 I have just been looking at the thomson site and as of november2014 thomson airways are offerng free drinks in economy excluding champagne and sparkling. Does that mean if you are flying with them nov onwards drinks will be complimentary. I would be interested if anyone knows Thanks Terry
BUKEITH Posted September 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2014 On another site P & O said they had asked Thomson and the offer wouldn't apply to P & O Charter flights. Gutted!
BrianI Posted September 3, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 3, 2014 As P&O are chartering the aircraft, then they decide what is supplied, or not supplied, on board. Brian
jeanlyon Posted September 3, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 3, 2014 I know you probably don't want to hear this, but drinking water on the flight instead of alcohol will see you getting off the other end feeling so much better. Alcohol doubles its strength at altitude. Ex-hostie speaking. Drink on the cruise not on the flight. :0)

Drink on the cruise not on the flight. :0) An FAA study (PDF) found that both alcohol and altitude affect pilot performance, but there was no interaction between the two. Altitude does affect your ability to perform tasks, but that effect is present with or without alcohol. Another US government funded study found the same thing, concluding, “there was no synergistic interactive effect of alcohol and altitude on either breathalyzer readings or performance scores.” Ex pilot speaking.;)
