Price Drop Question

I check every day twice a day, my cabin type was sold out and I checked just now, someone has cancelled or a cabin opened up on the same cabin category/type same deck and so I called Carnival directly and got the $184.88 price difference in On Board Credit. It pays to keep checking.

Liberty Aft Cabin on Empress Deck, original price $1,921.90, now $1,737.02

I believe when the price drops you only get either the obc or upgrade when you originally book with the early saver. I originally booked under a super saver then the price of the cabin for two of us went down $100 and my PVP said "nope" and he even got his manager involved to see if they could do something..
