I have a balcony room on the Liberty on level 6 (Upper). I have read some negative reviews. Has anyone stayed on the Upper level before?

Where on the upper deck is your cabin? I would not want to be above the disco or casino.

Same advice here, always make sure that there are cabins both above and below your cabin.

I've stayed on Deck 6 many times. Check what is directly below your room on the website, if it is a bar. Change rooms.

Over time, we have been on every deck on the ship, in both inside and balcony cabins. Before I became familiar with CC, I didn't know about how to pick a cabin -- just took what they gave me, more or less, since I didn't know any better. And still, we have NEVER had any issues about noise or vibration.

 

I think people (myself included :o) tend to obsess a little too much over cabin location any more. IMO.

I just re-checked & my room is over club 02 and the arcade so I think I should be ok.

An acquaintance who cruised had this location and was concerned, but later told me they didn't hear any noise from below.

We were on deck 6, mid-ship, right by the elevators/stairs down to the casino, and I was pleasantly surprised. No noise from the halls and no noise from the casino. Loved the location.

In my experience (we've encountered some noise issues on just a couple of cruises)...

 

The biggest concern is not getting a room under anywhere that may be prone to furniture movement. Or under the galley. Hearing stuff being dropped or dragged around on the floor above you for looong minutes, or maybe hours, and sometimes late at night, is no fun at all.
