Is there a keep in touch with family option on the ship?

Does Carnival have a program, where you can post pictures on the net, and people at home can check on their family members? We are sailing with my nieces. We sailed NCCL in the Spring, and this was available to the passengers. I hope someone can help. Thanks!

The Carnival Funville forum is free on board, you just have to set up a free account; set it up before you cruise and let the fam know what your "handle" is. (They'll have to have an account, too, or log in under you.) Be warned -- it is super, super S-L-O-W, so posting a bunch of pictures is probably not too feasible.

 

You can also look for free wifi in ports -- there is a website that tells you where the free wifi is located all over the world -- sorry, can't remember the name, but it's something like "free wifi". :p

We also email the link to the thread to our family so they don't have to go searching pages looking for your thread.

 

As Lovefuninthesun said, the internet is very slow (think 28.8 dial up). I have tried after midnight to post and waited about 10 minutes for the page to come up. Also time of day and/or amount of people on the internet can slow things down even more. Do not post pictures. You will probably get home before the pictures finish posting.

If you need to check in on family members it's best just to type out messages instead of posting pictures.
