So, I called NCL and talked to a rep, there is absolutely no way she can drink without the parent consent form. I asked about if we were married and still is no.

To answer a couple of questions that people had, I am 40, she is 20. Yes I know its quite an age difference. Also, Ive seen a lot of people saying "his fiance", we are both female.

Drinking isn't that big of a deal to us, we really aren't big drinker, it would have been nice to have the option though. I guess if she really wants to have a drink I can bring something back to the room from the bar.

What about an orphaned 20 year old traveling with an older friend?

And for almost all purposes in the US, an 18 year old doesn't need a parent. But, in international waters, NCL gets to set their own rules.

Im not suggesting you do anything . But I think you will find it more difficult keeping the drink servers away from her than the other way around...

I cant tell you how many times I need to remind the dining room waiter to stop filling my 17 yr olds wine glass..

i took my 19 yo on the Getaway earlier this year i had to sign a release she was in a separate cabin w her sister Her card had a little sticker on it for beer n wine only
