Atlantis Crowds - Aqua Park

Does Atlantis handle crowds well? Norwegian Getaway has an excursion including the aquapark. Plan is to visit the resort and do the water slides and river ride... Ever experience long lines?

 

If it will be crowded and not enjoyable because of long lines, we would do something else on this port day... and plan a separate week long vacation at Atlantis some other time when they have good prices on rooms.

 

Here's what I think might increase crowds on our day (Nov. 28) Thanksgiving holiday weekend, basketball tournament making high occupancy at resort, 5 ships in port that day, 3 arrive before our ship. We arrive 10am and the excursion will get to Atlantis at 11am.

 

Not sure when the aqua park opens but maybe a good plan is to go to the Aqua Park first, then tour the resort's other attractions - pools, aquarium, beach?

It will be crowded, long lines.

Aquaventure hours are 9am-5pm. It will be crowed with the basketball tournament , Thanksgiving guests and all of the ships. Also, the winter months can be cold and windy there. Our family has stayed at Atlantis many times and find the best time of the year with school aged kids is early June. It's warm then, but not too warm and there aren't as many ships during the summer months.
