Cashing out the last night?

I haven't ever used cash for my S&S card but will be this time so I am curious about options for cashing out. I have read you get what is not used in a check on the last night, is there any other options? I will be staying in Miami an extra day and would like to have the cash with me instead of a check.

Thanks in advance

I have always used cash as I don't own a credit card. I put a couple hundred dollars down when I board and pay the balance on the final morning or before I go to bed on the last night. This way they never owe me anything. I do know that if your bill is getting too high ( I think it was 350 or 500) they will ask you mid cruise to either pay it off or put more money down.

If you use a credit card you can run up as large of a bill your card will handle.

If you use cash. You can only spend as much as you have on your account.

The guest service line is very long the last morning on the ship. It is best to cash out the night before. You may want to leave a few dollars in the account in case you make any last minute charges. The small balance we be refunded to you later by check.
