On board booking benefit question

If we book an October 2015 cruise this week, can we have the on board booking discount applied to that already-booked cruise when we are on another Oceania cruise we are taking next month? Or can one only get on board booking discount for cruises when the booking is done while actually on an Oceania ship?

You can rebook on board for the discount IF there is still space available in the category you booked on the cruise you booked..

It usually depends on how well the cruise that you are talking about is selling and how picky you are about keeping the cabin that you have reserved.

In other words, if the 2015 cruise has plenty of availability you should be fine, but if your cabin category is tight, you may have to cancel your existing reservation and rebook entirely in order to get the discount,

Some onboard Ambassadors are less "structured" than others.

StanandJim,

Thanks. Your "it depends" answer is helpful. Quite a contrast to Crystal which, for example, will now automatically apply an on board booking discount for any future cruises you have previously booked the moment you embark the ship for your current cruise. Purpose is to avoid passengers occupying the time of future cruise consultants for what can be handled as a mere administrative manner. On the other hand, so many things we love about Oceania...this is not really a complaint...each line has its pros and cons, of course.
