Plastic high heel shoes, need help please.

Bought plastic shoes. Clear wide plastic across the top that covers all my toes and insteap. I am sure they will be hot. I have very very hot feet - yea I do. I am wondering if there is something I can use so that my feet don't stick on the tops and cause blisters. Am afraid to try deodorant because it might stain or discolor the plastic. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone suggest anything to use? Thank you.

Don't they have any vent holes? If not, maybe some baby powder betwen your toes might help them from not getting too sticky?

Actually, I'm interested to see what the ladies have to say, as I've been considering getting a pair of these myself.

Hi scarletine: No they don't have any holes. I was thinking of baby powder also but afraid that might get sticky or ucky. I am going to wear them around the house and see what happends. They are sitting shoes also.

zcat, I have a pair that I wore to a formal when I worked at Disney World, mine did have vent holes but still made my feet a little sweaty. try taking a push pin and putting some holes in it yourself (it will help a bit) on the edge by the balls of your toes. wearing them around the break them in is an exelent idea! wear them around and try the baby powder and sii if it works, trial and error never hurt. I was thinking baby powder before I read scarlets message. again, try it, I'm almost possitive Dr. Sholes has a foot powder that may work. Just rub the powder into your feet a couple mins before putting them on. You should be fine. The clear plastic shoes are great cause they match anything!

Be careful zcat! I have a really cute pair of flip flops from a couple summers ago that have the plastic covering the top of my foot--not the toes though. When my feet started to sweat the shoes started making this sticky, wet noise when I walked. It was loud! I was afraid someone was going to think I had eaten something I shouldn't have!! LOL Hopefully yours are a little different and you won't have that problem!!!!

I had a table mate on my last cruise that wore a similar pair of shoes.....they didn't finish out the night. She complained to me at dinner how uncomfortable thay were, they don't "give" and they don't breathe. She called them her walking saunas.

Deltala: I did say they already feel like "sittin" shoes. I did stretch them with a stretcher but my feet always blow up on a cruise even thow I don't use salt ever in my food while cooking the cruise ship chefs do. So I am planing to take 3 pair of dressy sandles. One that fits one that is too big and one that is waaaay toooo big. That should do it. Thanks for your reply.

bananaami: Do you have a pair of these? I am afraid to put holes in them. Can you imagine if my feet swell (and they will) and the skin puffs out holes that would hurt. But good grief that would be funny.

Yes, I do have a pair, but they already had the holes in them, if you do it right along the edge you shouldn't have to worry about the swelling out the holes. Again, try the baby powder or a foot powder and rub it into you feet real good and try wearing them around the house. (or if your feeling really gutsy, take them for a stroll around the mall, just put them on once you enter the mall or even the grocery store, that way they are not "used" looking if you take them back)

hope I helped a bit

bananatami: I never thought of wearing them to the mall great idea. I just wear them in the house on carpet. Looks weird with jeans and sweater - hey maybe it would look great hummm think I will try that. I have worn a pair of pants and left the tags on but only had them on for a short time. They stretched waaay tooo much and took them back and told them why. The sales woman was nice and said rather you did that than take the tags off and be stuck with a expensive of pants. Thanks again

try corn startch but make sure your feet are dry when you put it on. Do tops bottoms and in between your toes and it should let your feet glide and give you a smooth silky feeling. I know "other people" that use this during cruises on their thighs when they get that chafe thing going. Not me ....but other people
