What are the size restrictions for the carry on luggage at the cruise ports? I remember that they had to fit through the xray machine, but cannot find the size limit.

Look at an airline webpage to check carry on size. This is the size that xray machines will handle.

Don't think there are any size limits. If you can carry it on yourself, that's Ok. It's not like the airport...I only travel with a carryon. It's 22" roll on.

It still has to fit thru the scanner . The scanners are the same type and size used by the airports.

Technically it's 24 x 16 x howlongisthat!

 

You could have a suitcase that's 24x16x30 but not a box that is 24 x 24 x 24.

 

It does not matter which dimension is which measurement.
