Promenade or virtual balcony???

Never had a virtual balcony.

Promanade we had on freedom.Didnt really impress me much but it made the room feel bigger.Virtual balconies kind of look cool.We usually book oceanview balcony.

I'd go for the virtual balcony before a PR. More privacy.

I would go with the promenade. You can sit in the bay window and watch people whilst you are reading, etc.

I would go for the PR. The virtual balconies on Navigator just look to *big*. I wouldn't like looking at that huge TV. IMHO, the virtual porthole on Disney is less obnoxious.

 

However,many people are very excited for these virtual balconies.

I don't know if I'd want a virtual balcony at all. I'd rather have a real balcony or ocean view and side on the deck a lot.

That one will have virtual Promenades, so no need to choose.

I have not had either, But if i was going to pick, Id probably try out a PR room, just because its real and not fake and you have a real sense of what is going on inside.

Given the choice between the two, I'd take the Promenade. I'd probably choose a regular oceanview room over the virtual balcony. I'm not ever sure I'd chose the virtual balcony over an interior stateroom.

My experience was good with Promenade room, big window is awesome to see live parades.

Virtual rooms - Is better that a room with no windows.

Between the two, I'd pick virtual. That way I can be in my birthday suit without the neighbors across the way looking in.

We recently had a PR accessible room. It was a unique experience. There was always something to 'see'; not just the 'sea' or a foreign port for a few hours. There was always something going on; parades, entertainers, vendor sales or just passengers strolling by. The windows are nearly soundproof, especially with the curtains closed (if you like to go naked). The promenade is darkened at night to simulate a dark sky and is not obtrusive to sleep even during the day.

 

I would definitely book a PR room again.

My virtual balcony on deck 10 on Navigator was tiny. I prefer a PR. There was nothing big about the VB cabin that I had. It's just a closet with a TV screen. I haven't seen the new cabins that were added, only the interiors they stuck a tall screen in to simulate a balcony.

I would go with the virtual Balcony because you have the option of turning it off and having a normal inside room, but when you want you can watch it and see what it's like outside/enjoy the view/etc

I think it would be fun to play pranks on people for the techie people on this ship. Somebody could put their face into the image like they were looking in your room. Or perhaps they could make it look like we just past too close to an iceberg. This might be funniest in the Caribbean routes. Or perhaps images of a battle ship firing at us. The fun could endless.
