Calling CAS/TR after NCL cruise has been booked?

I am a Diamond member of Total Rewards, and heading on a Norwegian cruise in a couple weeks. Someone else booked the cruise as a surprise YAY! :D), and booked through their TA. It's my first time sailing Norwegian, so I have no points or status with them yet. Is there any benefit to calling CAS and trying to link my TR account to my booking? Or is your TR tier really only good to get the cruise discount?

Thanks for any insight!

Your TR account is only good with Total Rewards. Once onboard NCL CAS will give you a card with a number and that will be your CAS account number.
