question for acrylic nail wearers.....

Recommended Posts

I have acrylic nails with a French manicure. I was wondering if the salon is equipped to repair breaks if this should happen during the week. I tend to break one occasionally.
I will be on the Enchantment if it matters....

thanks,
Sonia

Most ships do have someone that can repair acrylic nails now, but don't know about the Enchantment. I have my nails done the day before the cruise to reduce the chance of breakage. I haven't had to have a repair on the ship (even when gone for 3 weeks). However, on our last cruise one of the women we met had a hard time getting an appointment for a repair at a convenient time.

I have no doubt that the spa can do acrylic nails. The question is will they be able to make the repair match the rest of your nails. You didn't say, but I know some salons use a two tone acrylic for French manicures. If you have that, that will limit the number of people who can do a repair, and then you will have to worry whether the colors are the same. (Some people do tan and white, some pink and white.)

I would try to get my nails done as close to the cruise as possible. That way, they will be stronger, and should last most of the cruise. Then if you can't find a way to get a repair, it will only be a few days that you have a problem, and hopefully after you have formal pictures done, if you were planning to do them.

I just hate having anyone besides my regular person do my nails. No one knows my nails like her, or does them as well. But that may just be me.

Like the previous poster said, if you hav pink and white, you may have a problem. I broke a pink and white one time (on Princess). The salon was not allowed to use drills, so they could only do a regular fill. I had my nail fixed and then had them all painted with a dark color OPI that I bought from them to cover the rest of the whites.
