Sophie1000 Posted April 15, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2004 Leaving Saturday and cannot find the answer to this-can kids (ages 6 & 4) wear shorts to dinner (not formal night) or do they have to wear pants? Help!!
LandLockedInAZ Posted April 15, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2004 You don't mention which cruise line you're sailing on, but my understanding is that even children should adhere to the suggested dress for the evening, at least for dinner. I have a 13-y.o. daughter and she has been sailing since she was 7. She's always enjoyed getting dressed up for dinner, although I admit that it gets harder and harder to get her to stay in those special outfits past dinner. Sophie1000 Posted April 15, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted April 15, 2004 Thanks for the quick answer...we're sailing on Carnival Triumph--I'll be sure to pack some extra clothes for dinner!
kbt2 Posted April 16, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2004 I think it depends on the age and style, if shorts are acceptable, as we have seen many toddlers on cruises wearing shortalls with the smockings, and those definitely are more dressier then what some adults wear on casual night. So to me it depends on the shorts.
