AquaClass cabin clock?

Anyone know if there is a clock with or without an alarm in Aqua Class cabins, specifically the S ships?

There's a clock on the phone but it's difficult to see and you can ask for a wake up call at any time. However we usually bring a travel size clock so that we can see the time in the middle of the night

We've started taking a $7 digital clock with us. Know the time and can maneuver around the room without waking up DW.

If there were one, it would likely be a water clock!

There is a small digital clock on the telephone, plus a larger time display on the TV screen.

 

It is very easy to set alarms (as many as you want) on the telephone.

 

That works better than using your own clock because there is no concern about time zone changes.

 

When we bring along our own telephone (or other device) that changes time zones automatically, there are times when it can be out of synch with the current ship time, especially when traveling in areas between two time zones.

Whenever we are cruising we change the time setting on our phone from automatic to manual and set the time ourselves whenever we change time zones. Otherwise we've found the times can be unreliable for a few different reasons.

Agreed.

 

We usually rely on "wake up calls" as an alarm clock... Or just as reminders (you can make a wake up phone call for any time of day or night)

 

And as for the last paragraph...

 

So true... Electronic devices sometimes get confused when it comes to man-made boundaries (Time Zones / Countries etc)

 

Plus there is that unique thing that can happen on a Ship

 

The Captain is the one who makes the decision as to what time is "ship time"... Not uncommon to sail to the Caribbean (which is the Atlantic Time Zone) and the Capt decide to keep the ship on Florida time (Eastern Time Zone)

 

Then again, the next Capt may decide to do something different

 

At least when you use the Wake Up Call... You will always be on the same wave length as the Capt !!
