GETTING CLOSER AND CLOSER

Okay the days are getting by me and our Anniv. cruise is right around the corner. My tan is getting tanner and trying to get off those last 2lbs (LOL) to fit in my red beaded dress, that I was able to wear pre-pregnancies. I will have to say, it was a dress that once I got pregnant with the twins that I thought for sure I'd never be able to wear again...but YEAH, I can!! I am continuing to debate over shoes though...one pair of sandals are very strappy and high and look great on the feet, but are sooooo uncomfortable...and then the other pair is less strappy and had a smaller wedge type heel, but is sooooo comfortable. What do you do ladies?? Style over comfort?? Or vice versa??

OK, I'll jump in!
I have to say I almost always choose fashion over comfort. My hubby thinks I'm nuts! But how often to you get to go out looking that fabulous? Besides, you'll be sitting MOST of the time, dinner, show, etc. Just don't plan on dancing that evening!

I go for style during dinner then change into comfortable shoes (yes, I keep my formal dress on). I have a ton of ideas from the girls here about comfy fancy shoes and as soon as I actually book my next cruise I'm going to get a pair!

Well, I never sacrifice comfort. For some reason, wedges with a beaded dress doesn't seem to cut it.

I'm with Iszu. I no longer like wearing heels at all, but, there's some really cute low heeled sandals out there or even skimmers or ballerina flats that you could change into.

Congrats on fitting into the dress. That's a real accomplishment!

Once everyone's seen how gorgeous you look, believe me, all the women will understand why you changed shoes. No one will care at all and you'll be in a good mood for the rest of the evening. 'Cuz when your feet hurt.......

Good luck and have a fabulous time!

I go for comfort. If I can't wear them more than an hour, what's the point? I cannot wear heels as they KILL my feet. I find all sorts of strappy sandals that are pretty that only have a small heel.

Wear the heels for pictures and dinner then change if you need to. I had one pair last cruise that were killing me after dinner! I suffered with them through the show (actually kicked them off as they were backless) but, couldn't deal with them any more. I changed into a pair of sequined flip flops that were the same color as my dress! It wasn't formal night though!! Good luck deciding and with the pre pregnancy dress! Five more pounds and I'm there!

Duh....I never really thought about just changing the shoes after dinner. As before, i never ran into this dilema. All my shoes in the past have worked great w/formals.
So that's what I'll do...change into less "formal" looking pair after dinner...because we don't typically go to shows...we are gamblers and love to dance, so I will be on my feet a good bit of the night after dinner.
Thanks again ladies!
