Freedom - Deck 3 or Deck 9?

Recommended Posts

What are the pluses and negatives for the following inside cabins:

Deck 3 mid ship - $1679

Deck 9 mid ship - $1709

As you can see cost isn't an issue, pretty much the same. I'm thinking in terms of location on the ship. I know Deck 4 is a public area, so we "could" hear foot traffic during the night. We don't typically go to bed until well after midnight anyways so that likely won't bother us.

The lower deck would be more convenient for getting on/off at ports. Same level as MDR, Theatre, Ice rink, etc.

The high deck is closer to the pool deck/solarium.

Anyone who has stayed in either and has opinion, please jump in!

Thanks folks. I was leaning toward Deck 9, but just wanted to be sure.

Also, I can get a room that is on the end, meaning only one neighbour. Would that room hear much noise in the area outside of the room? There are no elevators on that side.

The one negative about getting a cabin at the end(aft), is that it seems like a really long walk from the elevators to your cabin. We had a cabin near the back on the Freedom, I was hoping someone with a scooter would come along so I could hitch a ride

I did deck 10 on Liberty and loved the quick stair access to the windjammer and pool deck. Also easy walk down to promenade.

Doing a promenade cabin on deck 7 on the Freedom next, but feel like I'm going to miss the higher deck convenience.
