QM2 recording date for Carly Simon

Pop musician Carly Simon will present two concerts during Queen Mary 2’s Sept. 2 crossing from New York to Southampton. The performances will be recorded for a one-hour PBS network television special, scheduled to air in December. ‘Carly Simon's Live Onboard Queen Mary 2’ concerts will be released as a full concert DVD on Columbia Records on Nov. 22.

Ha - that is awesome. How big is the Queens room? I wonder how they will allocate tickets. My first cruise ever is looking even more interesting.

We just adore Carly and would love to be on QM2 to see her perform live.

 

As we live in the UK we really hope that the DVD gets released in the PAL and Region 2 format. Her other concerts including the one at Martha's Vineyard in the late 80's are only in NTSC and Region 1 (USA). Our video tape of the concert is fast wearing out !!

What a bonus!, I understand there will be footage of the QM2 crossing on the DVD,so you can forget buying the official "Memories of your crossing" and buy the Carly SIMON DVD when it is released on 22nd November.

I love Carly! I'm disappointed I will miss this. For certain I will buy the DVD and CD.
