The weather should be quite warm. The average daytime for Barcelona for the equivalent period in 2013 was 23 celsius (about 73 F). It should be at least as warm at all the ports. The ship is climate controlled so you could wear whatever you enjoy wearing out to dinner at home. The first sea day may be a bit cold, but the last 7 should be pool weather.

Welcome to these Cruise Critic boards. Keep asking good questions. Don't be shy!! Julie has provided good background. To be more precise, historically, here's a tip:

You can go to

http://www.wunderground.com

and check for the very specific weather history on many of the key towns in the world for their past temperatures in that specific area for a date in the past. Just look lower left in the page for weather history area, put in your exact dates and the year prior. You will then see what last year was like, along with recent highs and lows for that date there.

As an example for October 27, you will find this data for Barcelona: a high of 84 °F last year with a low of 64 °F, with an average high on this date of 61 °F with an average low of 44 °F. During recent history, the high has been 84 °F (2013) and a low of 44 °F (2010) for this specific date in Barcelona. There was no rain on this date last year and an average of 0.10" of rain on that date historically.

On Barcelona, it is a super wonderful city. Will you arrive early there? And, have time to experience its great charm, charter, history, food, architecture, etc.? Very handy city. Airport is fairly close to the main downtown. The port is also close to these older, historic areas. On my live/blog connected below you can see lots of visuals and details Barcelona, its lovely sights, wonderful central market, etc.

Added questions and needs? Happy to share more!

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Did a June 7-19, 2011, Celebrity Solstice cruise from Barcelona that had stops in Villefranche, ports near Pisa and Rome, Naples, Kotor, Venice and Dubrovnik. Enjoyed great weather and a wonderful trip. Dozens of nice visuals with key highlights, tips, comments, etc., on these postings. We are now at 184,209 views for this live/blog re-cap on our first sailing with Celebrity and much on wonderful Barcelona. Check these postings and added info at:

Welcome to cruise critic and your TA upcoming. We're on that cruise, and it will be our 2nd westbound TA. Can't wait!

You should come on over to our roll call - we have lots of private tours and excursions and lots of shipboard activities already planned, etc. Come get to know the people who will be on your cruise.

We're planning a get-together on the 26th, the night before the cruise.

Clothes: You just never know but it will be great weather in Spain, or it should be. We ALWAYS bring a Gore Tex jacket that packs small and is perfect for layering. On the ship it can get chilly in some rooms, particularly in the evenings, so I typically have a jacket or sweater with my evening outfit(s).

It will be casual during the day - long pants or capris, shorts - we'll bring some of all of it. I tend to be chilly so I'll have some casual light layers.

Our last TA began in northern France and it was freezing up in Normandy on both days. It was mild as we made out other ports in northern Spain and then it was about 80 degrees as we got closer to Miami.

You will love Equinox. It's our favorite ship and our 4th time on her.
