Cheers Package on Splendor

I'm sailing in a few weeks on Splendor (sailing from New York) and am thinking about getting the Cheers Package. :D I know I drink enough/day to make it worth it. I'm just wondering, are non-alcoholic beverages (coffee, soda, etc) included in the package and do they count towards your daily limit? Can you get alcoholic drinks (and/or drinks in souvenir glasses, buckets of beer) that are over $10 and just pay for them like you would normally? How much is the package for an 8 day cruise? I'm so excited to sail, can't wait!!!! :D

Thanks a lot!!

I will be going on Splendor on 10/24 for the 5th time since Feb and YES, Cheers is worth it..at least for me. Coffee isn't part of cheers but you can have sodas and they do not count towards your daily limit.

Example: I drink Coors Light...on Splendor they are almost 7.00 each (18 oz) so if you drink 6 a day, you have already gotten your money's worth.

On the 8 day cruise the new pricing is $345.00 for the duration of the trip, inlcuding gratuity.

You can have up to 15 a day (6am-6pm) and can mix up what you'd like as long as the drink is under $10.

Some days I had bloody mary, beers, a wine or two and maybe a martini or pina colada...One day I only had 4 beers all day. In the long run, it was still worth it for 8 days.

Only once, in 4 cruises, did I hit my 15 limit per day!!!

No buckets of beer or souvenir glasses. You can get soda and that doesn't count toward your 15. You get a discount off of specialty coffee drinks (cappacinos, lattes etc) . The cost is i think 37.50 per day.

Awesome, thanks!! :D I know buckets of beer and/or souvenir glasses aren't included in the package but can you buy them and just pay for them like you would without the package? Do specialty coffees count towards the 15? Good to know I can get soda and it doesn't count towards my 15, I do tend to drink a lot of Coke in a day!!

Thanks a lot, this is a big help!! I think I'd have trouble reaching 15 in a day but I can drink enough to make it worth it for sure!! :D

I hope you have a great cruise, you'll be getting on when we get off!!

Since you'll be visiting HMC and Grand Turk, here's a great suggestion for you. Bring along a collapsible cooler. On the days prior to visiting those 2 ports, at the end of the day, get unopened beers to reach your limit of 15. Leave a note the night before for your cabin steward to fill your cooler with ice. Place those beers in the ice filled cooler and take ashore to enjoy in HMC and Grand Turk.

6am-6pm? Thats only 12 hrs. Is it suppose to be 6am-6am the next day? I'm just thinking on non sea days, after 6pm is when most people will drink.

Yes, 6AM to 6AM. 24 hour period.

YUP, that's what I meant...24 hour period!

The idea for the cooler is good too. I always kept a few on ice or in the fridge for "emergencies." I was going to take a couple to Grand Turk and completely forgot about it that morning.

Also, if you are going to HMC, Cheers is not included in that stop.

I was just on the Splendor last week and purchased the Cheers package and loved it! I was told that in NY you can't purchase the package till 6:00 pm on day of embarkation but your purchases up till you get the package will be credited. I was stupid when I bought my first couple rounds before I had the package, I should have used both my card and husbands. Instead I gave my card for both drinks so because 2 were bought at the same time they weren't credited back. Oh well, at least it was only 2 rounds of beer.

Enjoy the package and enjoy the Splendor!

That's good to know, thanks!! :D Can you buy the package on Day 2 of the cruise (which for us is a sea day)? I only ask because I have 6pm dinner so won't be able to be at the bar (any bar) to buy the package then. That's too bad about not being credited back but as you said, it was only a few beers. I'm really looking forward to both the package and the Splendor!! :D

You can buy the package after dinner. If you do the 6pm dinner, the Casino Bar (where I buy it) is usually pretty empty when the late seating people go for dinner!

It's been varied on all the cruises and will depend on what time we actually sail. On one cruise, it wasn't available until 7:30 pm

But....you can also buy it first thing in the morning on the 2nd day if you wish!

Awesome, thanks!! :D I usually have late seating dinner but the friend I'm going with needs to eat early for health reasons. The whole early seating thing is completely new to me!!
