Ok - Here's the official word regarding wireless computer connections on their ships in case anyone is interested:

Only the VY class and RD class ships have network access or dial up connections in the guest staterooms. We have Hotspots in a few locations on the EN where the guest can use his laptop and go online after signing up for the wireless access.

Centrum - Deck 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

The info we got was you need a Windows Operating System with a wireless internet connection of 802.11B. If you do not have this, you can rent an internet card for $50 for a 7 nt cruise. The amount they charge is $35 for 90 mins and $50 for 150 mins. Hope this helps.

  • 3 weeks later...

Just remember - you may not have continual access. The satellite connections do go down - sometimes for extensively long periods - especially when the weather is bad.

Also, just a note, if you go over the allotment you signed up for, any overage is billed at the pro-rated per minute rate for the amount of time you originally signed up for.

Do you know where to sign up?

Just sit down at any machine in the Internet Cafe, swipe your Sea Pass and it will walk you through - very easy.
