Leaving from Istanbul this weekend on the Rhyndam.. As an English traveller do I need to bring an american converter or the european one..

Probably best if one just describes the pins and voltage..

HI ig,

You need a UK--> Continental and/or a UK--> US adapter not a converter.

Enjoy your visit.

Ira

To use UK appliances (unless they are dual voltage) in a US socket you need a converter from 220v to 110/115v.

OP, your best bet is to use a UK to European adapter - the same as you would use in mainland Europe - and use the European 220v socket(s) in your cabin.

If you need more than one socket, use a UK multi-point with this plugged in via a single adapter.

They are unlikely to have a UK multi-point on the ship so take your own and hope you are allowed to keep it. I have never had a problem using my own on HAL or any other cruise line.
