Rental car/ taxi logistics question

So, we are coming into SJU on a Saturday night. We hope to stay at the Sheraton across from the Pier and then go to the la Marquesa canopy tour in Guaynabo. I found a great deal for the canopy tour. Do I rent a car or take a taxi from the Sheraton to Guaynabo and then back? How expensive would that be? Would they need to wait in Guaynabo for us?

first find out if the tour includes transporting if they do not you need to rent a car
