Someone on the island or frequent visitor. Need help for a hotel,resort, etc for a wk in Dec. Thanks.

In order to answer your question, really need some more info. Are you looking for an all inclusive, or just rooms? (My preference is not for an all inclusive since there are SO many great restaurants to try) Are you interested in villa or part villa rental? In town or out of town, beach access important or not? Do you want to spend all your time at the resort or do you want to spend more time in town. Is the beach more important or is scuba diving/snorkeling nearby important? What price range (Cozumel Palace, though new and beautiful is pricey.)

 

In the meantime, let me refer you to some sites to check out.

http://www.cozumelmycozumel.com click on "lodgings" to read a lot of info about accomodations, Pros/cons of various areas etc. A lot of great info.

Then go to http://www.cozumelinsider. com and again click on lodgings for a list of various accomodations.

When you have some idea of where you might want to stay go to http://www.tripadvisor.com Type in the name of the hotel you are interested in and when the page refreshes, scroll down and you will likely receive lots of reviews on that hotel.

 

Another forum where you might want to post this question are

cozumel.net click on bulletin boards and then favourite places to stay. You'll read other people's experiences and can post any further questions that you have.

Thanks for the responses. Room only, not inclusive, beach, not snorkeling, price range(mid-not sure what that would be in Coz) Thanks for all help. I will ck out websites from ya'll.

Yes, we have been to Cozumel on cruises. Never stayed overnight. Ck'd out both Azul and Interc. Both look great. Thanks for the input. PBT, look forward to seeing you again in Dec.

She did say mid range. While the Presidente is very nice, it surely wouldn't be considered mid range on Cozumel.

I would agree with Tom...Playa Azul is great. If you could do without the beach part, there are many more options. And with the money you would be saving, you could rent a vehicle for the week to take you to the beach every day! I like Hacienda San Miguel and Los Arricifices as alternate choices.

about Los Arricifices? I've been on several Cozumel boards for aobut 18 months but haven't seen it mentioned before. I'm always curious about new places to stay....especially when they are recommended by someone like Solita. Thanks for the help.

It is a little place I stayed in when I was just a visitor here several years ago. They are little cottages...two bedroom, full bath, living room, kitchen. Located in town. Very safe and secure. Here is a link...
