CrusingGolfers Posted October 7, 2014 #51 Share Posted October 7, 2014 Booked last night as well. I got the letter in the mail and called ASAP to check availability. It was the first time I have received this type of promotion so I didn't know if it was as good as advertised. Wife and I discussed over dinner. I called back and no balconies were open for any dates we could go. All of them were before dinner. If you get this act fast!!! We are not complaining. Booked 8 day on the Freedom for $533 in an OV with $100 OBC however we had our eyes on Cove Balcony for $629 on the Breeze. Does anyone know how many rooms they have open for this promo? I wish the PVP I spoke with would have told me how limited it is. I would have booked without asking the wife lol.

Javacruiser Posted October 7, 2014 #53 Share Posted October 7, 2014 All of the info posted here is really true....... I have cruised Premier as well as several with a PTC offer but this Pack & Play is easily the best deal...... and the best cabins go FAST! Luckily, I check my number for promos daily & don't wait for the mail. When I saw the Liberty 1/16 was available and I could get a balcony for $429, I was all in...... I'm already on the Liberty 1/24 on a PTC offer so I have B2B casino cruises. I guess I'll be joining Sammee and gamblingrandma...... I'll be sailing with my wife on this one. As for those asking what to do so you will get the offers...... I'll be honest with you, I am not a big gambler. I sail with other people who gamble far more than I do and they don't get the offers. I don't have a clue what a person needs to do because they seem very random
ponza17 Posted October 7, 2014 #54 Share Posted October 7, 2014 On the first night of your cruise, introduce yourself to the casino host and tell her you want to be rated on your play.Slots or table play or both. Each night touch base with them to see if you are being rated properly. At the last night ,they will give you a letter from Players Club with different offers and you will receive other offers in future. We booked 8 day S Carib for $269.42- $100 OBC = $169.42 for 4-H on Liberty for 10/25/
Jana60 Posted October 8, 2014 #55 Share Posted October 8, 2014 I am really trying to get myself on one... I have a family trip in December already, this one may be hard to get on. I have been able to do the last 2 free offers I received, just not sure if I can make this one. But I REALLY REALLY wish I could. Which one did you go with? If I can swing it, I am looking at the Freedom in mid jan I booked a balcony 7 day cruise to St Maarten, Puerto Rico, and grand Turk, on the Splendor's 1/11/15 sailing for only $354 for the entire room including port charges and taxes. Since I'll also get $100 onboard credit with this deal, and another $100 onboard credit for my shareholders benefit, plus all the benefits of being platinum, it's almost like getting paid to go on a cruise! bradm77 Posted October 8, 2014 #56 Share Posted October 8, 2014 We booked this same offer - $50 pp for an inside cabin. We got a Cloud 9 Spa Inside on January 18th Splendor sailing and it was $373 total with taxes, port fees, etc. We also got $50 pp OBC. My summary also mentioned OBC + EXTRAS, so after seeing this thread earlier today, I called the Ocean Players Club. I was told that there ARE extras for SOME people, such as "Drinks on us" card on embarkation day (no need to rack up points) and "other" benefits (they wouldn't be specific), but that all WE qualified for was the discounted rate and OBC. The lady I spoke with was able to confirm that, based on your level of play on previous cruises, there may be other "extras", but evidently we aren't high enough rollers to get there! Here's my thing, though - because of the rate/OBC we DID get, my casino budget just went UP by a LOT, so maybe we can be slightly HIGHER ROLLERS after this upcoming cruise!!! Clearly, we are trying for the "snowball rolling down a hill" analogy to keep our casino perks on a steady curve upward.......... :o:o:o Thanks to CCL and Casino club for an AWESOME deal, extras be damned!! :D:D
Cruisin' Lisa Posted October 8, 2014 #57 Share Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) I just booked for an interior for next week on a 4 day cruise Princess Imagination from Los angeles as a single since hubby couldn't go . .. and I just broke my foot, am wearing a boot, and have to rest anyway (so what better way to rest than on a cruise ship -- I just wont get off the ship at Catalina or Ensenada). After I booked ($183 total), I sent an email to the Carnival's players club top see if I qualify for any OBC (usually I get $25) . . .and was told I dont qualify for anything because I was such a low gambler last time (I gambled about $200- 300 on a 4 day cruise this past summer). So obviously I qualify to get this offer but dont qualify to get even $25 OBC. For a solo, Ocean views was only $5 higher but $25 OBC less. this offer came with $100 OBC. there are several other such offers out of LA-- the best being a 7 day cruise for $75 solo pricing + port fees and taxes -- that unfortunately I can't do. Glad I booked it right away as the offer was gone in 24 hours. Edited October 8, 2014 by Cruisin' Lisa
shibby sails Posted October 8, 2014 #58 Share Posted October 8, 2014 Glad I checked here because I was not checking my VIFP site at Carnival. Saw this and checked and I was getting the pack and play offer. For those who wonder how to get this I just think its the luck of the draw. I cruise often and gamble, but this was my first pack and play offer. Took 3 solo cruises this past summer and the single supplement kills me. These offers make up for that. Booked a 6 day Balcony on Freedom in NOV for $454 for two. A 6 Day Balcony on Conquest in Jan. for $454 for two. And a 7 day solo interior on Liberty in Dec. for $212! All these include taxes and fees, $100 OBC and take another 10% off these prices because I am uising Verizon e gift cards. Christmas comes early. Not bragging, just happy I am finally getting something back from Carnival for all those times I paid for that empty bed on my solo cruises. Oakman Posted October 8, 2014 #60 Share Posted October 8, 2014 I just checked my VIFP offers and I was passed over again  not sure what I need to do to get a $50.00 cruise Of all people, you should be offered a $50.00 cruise for all the goodwill and positive reviews you give their product. Your loyalty to Carnival is invaluable.

gamblingrandma Posted October 8, 2014 #62 Share Posted October 8, 2014 Definitely! I'm kicking myself, should have gone for the balcony, but I had no money in savings when this hit. I don't want to screw up over a couple bucks,. And there's no going back, that date is not available now Yes, the offer disappeared quick for this cruise! I saw how fast the balcony cabins were going so I booked this offer online with a 24 hour hold. Then, the next morning, I called my PCP and he canceled my 24hr hold and found a cabin with a better location and re-booked me. Keep checking the cruise, because people do hold cabins for 24 hours and then decide not to go. Oh yeah, my Pack & Play offer came in the mail yesterday....LOL. Snail mail! See you in January! :D

angiem0217 Posted October 8, 2014 #64 Share Posted October 8, 2014 I received the pack and play offer. Not sure how, I only gambled a little on our cruise thus past June. My husband gambled every night. He did not get it and I did. I booked a 7 day on the splendor for 3 for $788 in an oceanview. Get $100 OBC. Cancelled our $3000 4 day disney cruise. Was looking forward to disney but for that price difference could not justify it. It's me, hubby and 7 year old. mom2tcdx2 Posted October 8, 2014 #65 Share Posted October 8, 2014 I booked yesterday for the Freedom, with an inside it was $321. Overall we could drive to Fort Lauderdale if needed, though we will check into flights. Price was too good to pass up. I haven't sailed Carnival in a long time and saw a pretty good rate in May so we sailed on the Liberty. I played in the Casino some, though I won a bit at the beginning and played off of that all week. I didn't really think I did all that much in comparison to a lot of people. My sister also got the same offer, though Carnival called her about it. My parents also went on the same Liberty cruise and my mom spent as much in the casino - they had no offers on their account. So this will be 3 cruises booked within a 4 month period. Now this is the way to vacation.
lollylew Posted October 8, 2014 #66 Share Posted October 8, 2014 I have never, ever received an offer of any kind. Boo! Me either!!:( I think that I may just have to drop a few pennies in the slots on my next cruise so I can get in on all these offers! :D
path145 Posted October 8, 2014 #67 Share Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) I received this offer but my fiance did not, even though he gambles more than I do. But I'm the one who books the cruises so I don't know if that makes a difference. haha We booked a Premier Casino offer before and we've received "extras" like... fruit, cheese and wine basket in the room, chocolate chip cookies delivered, chocolate covered strawberries delivered, free bottle of wine in the MDR, free steak house dinner... so maybe these are some of the "extras". It's the people who cruise on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Princess, and others. Carnival is trying to lure them back with cheap cruises Actually I don't think that's it. I've cruised only on carnival for many years and I cruise 4 to 5 times per year so they are not worried that I'm going to suddenly quit cruising, yet I got this deal. Maybe it had something to do with the big bucks that I spent at the craps table on the last cruise. Or maybe it's just random. bubbles1209 Posted October 10, 2014 #70 Share Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) We ran up on this offer totally by mistake! Just happened to call our pvp, who was about to call us, & learned we could get a 7 day Western, extended balcony for 2 for $494 including port taxes & fees.....yes for 2...not per person! Also got $100.00 onboard credit!! :D We went ahead & grabbed it! How can we turn down a cruise rate of $120 per person before port fees & taxes?! Averages out to be $17 & some change per person per day! Booked our Tampa hotel last night :D Edited October 10, 2014 by bubbles1209

cruisetodayteachtomorrow Posted October 10, 2014 #72 Share Posted October 10, 2014 When the casino offer loads, the cruise offers never opens, like it's stuck in a loop. Same in IE, Mozilla & Chrome, on desktop & laptop. Is any one else having these problems. Would like to see the offers. Happening to me too still! Ascott318 Posted October 10, 2014 #73 Share Posted October 10, 2014 In your expert opinions  do you think this offer would ever come to Manhattan? Or Baltimore? Would LOVE to take advantage of these offers but we live 20 minutes from terminal in NY and a short car ride from Baltimore and to have to fly to FL to save $ on a cruise isn't something we can do right now. :( Doing this offer on 24th Splendor cruise. Pay $100,get $100 OBC. Cruise cost me $141 for port fees and taxes. I've done 4 this year on this offer and one in November is bounce back offer from casino. Letter I received last evening of cruise offering free cruise. 7 cruises this year ,1st one Premiere Casino cruise they gave me $650 on board. Paid for 2nd one $219 solo rate and the rest have been free.
markmbsc Posted October 10, 2014 #74 Share Posted October 10, 2014 I got lucky on this. My PVP called me about the promotion but I wanted to talk it over with my GF to make sure she could go. I called him back the next morning to book and the promotion ended for the cruise we wanted while he was booking it. I thought we had lost it and told him thanks for trying, maybe next time. He called me back 15 minutes later when a balcony room came off hold and grabbed it for me. 7 day eastern caribbean on the Liberty for $445, unbelievable.
