**here's to saving money. .why? ..so you can cruise, of course!!**

Ok...ALWAYS check the Internet! This is exactly where you find the best deals, not always at the last minute, as often cruise companies tend to offer a carrot, ie, On Board Credit, 2nd or 3rd person half price/free, etc in order to get sales happening, abd this often takes place when the cruise is sometimes a year away! When we see a good deal which suits our holiday times and our budget, we book! As often after this, once people are taking the bait, the cruise company will often drop the onboard credit as well as up the price once cabins are starting to sell!!

Ok, it doesn't suit everyone, but my husband and I always travel in an Interior Stateroom! These are always the cheapest because they don't have a window or balcony (staterooms with portholes are more expensive as a rule), and hey, as we only shower and sleep in there and all the actions outside of your cabin, it's all we need!

Once on the ship, maximise EVERYTHING you've already paid for-food, non - alcoholic beverages, entertainment, activities, free seminars, it's all out there and your pocket stays full!

If you do enjoy alcoholic beverages, then take advantage of what's provided at Captain's Cocktails, champagne at Art Auctions, Champagne Fountains, Ladies Night in the casino, etc, (etc meaning anything else they might offer that didn't happen on your last cruise)! This will definitely keep your drink bill down!

Don't bother pre - booking shore tours! These are too expensive! When leaving the boat, have a walk and/in use public transport if available! When in Fiji fir example, or similar, get a group together and share the cost of a taxi! If there's enough of you, you can get a very reasonable trip for the day, seeing everything on offer!

And lastly, Make New Friends, Smile, and Have Fun! All Free and you Feel

Awesome!!😎😎😎😎😛😛

  • 2 weeks later...

I agree with most of what you say but i stay out of the casino as it doesnot interest me. oh and bingo not interested as well. Would rather play a trivia game or something like that.

What i disagree about is the room choice.....but this is purely an personal opinion. We always book a balcony. Nothing more relaxing or peaceful for me. We get roon service for breakfast and eat out there, we love watching going in and out if ports from our room privacy. I do think at one point i will be presented with an interior room offer i will have to jump on and Ill let you know what i think once it do so.
