Water? Soda? New to RCCL

Hello. I am new to RCCL. Can we bring water and soda on board? I am going on the Vision of the Seas. Just wondering. Thanks.

Bringing any beverage other than two 750ml bottles of wine is technically against the rules, but usually allowed.

I was under the impression that water/soda were not allowed to be brought onto the ship, however, we purchased a case of water in one of the ports (after seeing someone bringing a case on at embarkation) and we were not stopped. I have heard that people have brought soda without a problem, but I can't speak to that personally. Also, I don't know if there would be a problem on a different ship or with different security people.

Officially against the rules, but have never had an issue carrying on either sealed water or cans of pop.
