scarletine Posted May 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2004 I haven't seen these mentioned out here before, and so I thought I'd bring them up. These are tank tops with a built in bra that gives a little more support than just the "shelf" bra you see in many of the tops today. I got two of the "Be Smooth" camis in black and white, and have to admit that I'm impressed. They really do help support the girls better, and the princess seaming is a really nice detail. You ladies that frequent QVC may have seen these before, as I heard they are sold on there, and usually sell out every time they're featured. But you can buy them online as well. Here's a link in case you're interested in checking them out... hstrybuf Posted May 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2004 Those are really cute! And heaven knows, at my age "the girls" need all the support they can get! wantacruise Posted May 5, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2004 Those are really cute! I found one in an Avon catalog (outlet) that has underwire in it--it is very comfy and doesn't make you look "smushed" like the shelf bra does. JanetMarie Posted May 6, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 6, 2004 NY & Co. is selling these and I purchased a couple but had to return them because the bra inset was too constricting for me and I'm not large chested! Jane110 Posted May 8, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 8, 2004 Katie or anyone who's familiar w/ these tops... Are the bra's a push-up style? I'm only a 34B, so with a tank top, I find that the little extra pad in the bottom of the cup makes the tank-top much more flattering on me. Usually, I just wear a strapless bra with my spaghetti strap tank tops and they're comfortable and look good. Is the one in NY& CO the same as the one online? We have that store here so I can look in person if they are. Thanks all.
scarletine Posted May 8, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted May 8, 2004 The Cookie Camis have more like a soft cup bra. They don't "lift and separate" as much as I was hoping the would (I thought they'd have more of an underwire in them), but they do provide better support than just the shelf bra that you find in most tanks.
