Coral Princess Laundry

Has anyone had experience with doing laundry aboard the Coral Princess? Can you purchase laundry detergent or should we bring our own?

Yes, indeed. They sell individual boxes of laundry detergent, as well as fabric softener (not Bounce) -- has been $1/box but it might have gone up. Takes coins, not a swipe your cruise card thing. Sometimes (although I have been lucky), the vending machine will be out; you can either pop up or down a deck to another laundry room to check or you can bring your own. But I do not know for sure what kind of machines they are, regular or HE, so bringing your own might be problematic, since I think they use different kinds of detergent . . .

We bring our own detergent and have never had a problem. We bring Tide HE.

We brought pods, dryer sheets, and lots of quarters. The change machine on our deck was not working. If you bring your own, you don't have to waste time hunting for what you need.

You can also get change at the passenger services desk if you do not have quarters with you.

The laundry rooms have detergent and softener for sale but I bring our own. I suggest getting your quarters at the service desk or perhaps the casino. While they have change dispensers I hate being all set to do something only to find out the machine is empty and have to run down.

Disembarked the Coral on 10/7. Did several loads of laundry while onboard. The machines no longer take quarters. A token machine, where you swipe your cruise card, has been installed. There was soap/softner for sale, but we always bring our own.
