olya1972 Posted October 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2014 Can anybody who stayed in this or nearby room please advise on the following: We are two adults in our forties going on this cruise in couple of weeks without kids. We had Balcony GTY, were assigned room at the end of Deck nine, same side, category BD (not an AFT Balcony). Since our price dropped I called back for some upgrade and was offered Family Balcony 12768, category B2. I see that it is a connecting room and on the same floor with Splash Academy, but not directly across from it. Is this good for two adults no kids or should I call back to see if I can get a different room? (I booked through TA. I wish I could just call back myself, but I have to go through Ta every ). All help is appreciated. (I also posted this question on Cabins Forum, sorry for duplication.) Thanks.
Rare mizLORInj Posted October 14, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) The cabin is the same; it's the location that makes it a family balcony (near Splash academy--which has an entrance in the center of the ship--not right next to cabins). We had a cabin on deck 12 near the aft elevators and it was fine. I prefer not to have a connecting cabin as you can hear noise through the gaps in the door vs. a sealed wall. :p Edited October 14, 2014 by mizlorinj
olya1972 Posted October 14, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted October 14, 2014 Thank you for the reply. I actually made a mistake. it is not a connecting room.
Rare mizLORInj Posted October 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2014 ok 12768 does look like it's connecting to 12770
olya1972 Posted October 15, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted October 15, 2014 Yes, it is a connecting room. (I guess wishful thinking prevailed when I was rechecking it). There are same category cabins still open on my sailing. I'll give them a call to see if I can switch. Thanks again.
