We have gone to both. It has been a while since we did Kennedy, so I am a bit rusty.

We went to JSC just recently and really enjoyed it. You can spend ALL DAY THERE. They have 2 tours that take you out to plants and the surrounding area. They run the tours often, but there is usually a line and the wait maybe long. Plus there is plenty to do in the main building. If you enjoyed Kennedy, you will enjoy JSC.

Can anyone compare Johnson Space Center (Houston) and Kennedy Space Center (Orlando)? We enjoyed Kennedy and would like to visit Johnson.

Is it worth going and how much time should we allocate?

Give it 6 to 8 hours Cape Canaveral is the rocket center and hardware center, Johnson is the astronaut training center with all sorts of mock-ups and piloting skill...

Its the other half of the program..the people and control section

We have booked the NCL tour of the Johnson Space Center for our disembarkation day. Our flight doesn't leave till 4:30p It gives us something to do and gives a ride back to Hobby. We will probably only have a few hours there. Do you recommend we take the tram ride? Will it give us a good overview of the place in a short time? Thanks!!

There are 2 tram tours. Both of them end up seeing the Saturn V rocket. If you have time to see Mission Control, that is interesting, but it does take longer. If you want the shorter tour, just go see Saturn V. It is very impressive in size and to talk around it. The wall that lines it shows every mission, the astronauts, etc. You can send at least an hour in there. My kids loved seeing how it all fits together and how huge it was.

On both tours you will also pass where they have a memorial for the astronauts that have passed away.
