skylight Posted October 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2014 Does anyone have experience with what is available to play in Casino. Do they have any tournaments or just video tables. Just enquiring as my husband loves to play.
EuroDate20 Posted October 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2014 DH and I were on the Allure last March. The casino has a couple of electronic poker tables - no live dealers. DH never got to play because there weren't enough interested players for a cash game until 10 pm or later. There are tournaments, but DH wasn't interested. Nonetheless, there were other events on the ship that we enjoyed and the lack of poker didn't diminish our enjoyment of the cruise. Happy sailing! Maybaybie10 Posted October 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 15, 2014 We were on Allure last October...my husband played many a Texas Hold 'Em game (my pocketbook remembers it well!). For the smaller tournaments they are 'video' cards (no real dealer). For the tournaments to try and win the free cruise, they had real dealers. He said the Buy-in for both was $100 and you could buy back in for (I think $50...he says $100...can't quite remember). He said there were other tourneys/games going on with real dealers, but he never tried buying into those, so he's not sure what the 'rules' were for those tables. Thanks for that information seems like the same as when we were on Celebrity. He will be happy with that.:)
Merion_Mom Posted November 20, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 20, 2014 I just went down to the casino and asked for you. She said that it is "machine only" for just playing, and sometimes machine/sometimes live for tournaments.
