Any suggestions for a short beach time as we only have a morning stop and do not want to join the large group tour.

You can hire a taxi ahead of time. We are going in December and have booked with Siam Taxis. They have been very helpful in planning our 4 hour trip, and they charge by the hour.

We are also looking for a taxi or van to take us to a beach in Kho Samui, I think we may be on the same cruise as you?

By far the best beach on the island is Chaweng which is also the busiest,it's situated on the other end of the island from Nathon Port though.There should be no problems getting a taxi from the port but as at most places make sure you get a price first.It's a reasonably small island so everything is quite compact for touring.

I have a feeling we may be on the same Quest sailing on the 3rd February.

Did not want to go to Chewang that the cruise ship offers as it is long on bus and a packed beach from my research. Thanks for the taxi info.
