14Terry Posted October 22, 2014 #26 Share Posted October 22, 2014 We've ordered breakfast before. Also had late nite snacks. Everything is good! [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1][emoji106] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
beckinoz Posted October 23, 2014 #27 Share Posted October 23, 2014 To run up her post count obviously :p Agreed. NOT helpful to the OP at all. You wont be getting a reply from her. But to get back on topic, I see some are mentioning honey stung chicken. I think it has been established that even though it is still on the room service menu, HSC has been discontinued fleet wide. I want to try the Bistro burger off the room service menu. When was the HSC discontinued? We ordered it from room service on our December cruise last year on the Radiance. I really liked it :(. Is it also removed from the buffet on the first day?
bwaz Posted October 23, 2014 #28 Share Posted October 23, 2014 Nothing like having your own sail away party on the balcony with cheese platter, fruit platter, and some wine. Substitute hot choclate and cookies for an Alaskan Cruise. We crammed 9 people onto our balcony! I never thought of this. What a great idea. Can you order room service in time for sailaway? jopat Posted October 23, 2014 #29 Share Posted October 23, 2014 How much would be a reasonable tip for room service? Sent from my iPad using Forums
anandaindonesia Posted October 23, 2014 #30 Share Posted October 23, 2014 Entirely at your discretion, say $2 to $5, depending the size of your order. It is not that they will stay like asking for the tip, so if you want to tip, better to prepare so it is handy.

MOSusan Posted October 23, 2014 #32 Share Posted October 23, 2014 (edited) I don't remember seeing the cheesecake but I will definitely be looking for that next month:D My daughter was a huge fan of the Cheesecake. One evening she wanted cheesecake and there was none on the menu, our Head Waiter told her she could have anything she wanted and he produced the Room Service Cheesecake for her. FinallyCruisinIn2014 Posted October 23, 2014 #34 Share Posted October 23, 2014 We ordered at least coffee and maybe some toast every morning for breakfast. I love that you order the night before and then when they call you to tell you it's on it's way, that's your wake up call :)
MikeDaDog Posted October 23, 2014 #35 Share Posted October 23, 2014 The steak sandwich is fantastic. And the soup du jour must be great because they have it every day. Sent from my HTC One M8
momof3cruisers Posted October 23, 2014 #36 Share Posted October 23, 2014 When was the HSC discontinued? We ordered it from room service on our December cruise last year on the Radiance. I really liked it :(. Is it also removed from the buffet on the first day? That is really a bummer! We had it in April on Allure. Really good stuff! We also liked the spinach dip. Everything we tried was quite good, but those were our favorites.
JimAOk1945 Posted October 23, 2014 #37 Share Posted October 23, 2014 We enjoy ordering breakfast from the MDR menu on mornings when we have shore excursions scheduled. It's a great way to start the day. Happy cruising everyone!
LBB Posted October 23, 2014 #38 Share Posted October 23, 2014 Sure. You can order for sailaway. Sometimes it's nicer to be on your balcony than with the crowds on the pool deck.
reedl Posted October 23, 2014 #39 Share Posted October 23, 2014 I always order the international cheese plate before going to sleep for the night. I do not eat dessert in the MDR, so it is my dessert!
