kruzseeka Posted October 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2014 This thread about the Oriana makes interesting reading on a number of levels which I think we can identify with.......... Norovirus Response Future of ship...............with special mention of Thomson...... http://cruiseforums.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2117501 Don't suppose it's anything more than speculation but the size and age (1994 slightly newer than Majesty) sort of fits with Thomson although I don't like the plumbing similarities!!!!!

CRUISIN LINDA Posted October 22, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2014 "It will probably be Thomson's 'new' ship" A bit sarcastic I thought
kruzseeka Posted October 22, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted October 22, 2014 (edited) "It will probably be Thomson's 'new' ship" A bit sarcastic I thought  Almost certainly was Linda................ however, it wouldn't be bad in some respects (if we have to give up on a new build  ) as although not significantly newer than any of the other Thomson ships it is a piece bigger with more public space so actually seems less busy, has a proper theatre with no pillars or problems with sight-lines, two large restaurants, a decent selection of bars (plus a good crow's nest - Horizons style but very much larger), coffee bar, cinema etc. Don't know how many balconies though which is a direction Thomson has been moving towards. Probably got no foundation although I think Dave has said he thought the Oriana would be going............... time will tell but whether Thomson is thinking of increasing/up-grading their fleet and even if so, whether they'd go for something newer, is anyone's guess. Certainly don't want any ships with problems whatever! P.S. Mis-quoted you dave, sorry. That was the Oceana - just read your post!
