Living abroad help with shopping dilemas!

Recommended Posts

I am living in Mexico City right now up until my cruise in december. I am really going to have trouble finding cruise"ware" b/c the selection here is so much worse, there are some quality stores, but they are Rodeo drive expensive (I am on a recent grad salary), nothing in between (kind of like the social structure here). I need some advise on a good way to stock up on stuff before the cruise. Should I buy Online (never done that) and ship it to my parents? If so, what are some good websites for formals, swimsuits, coverups? Thanks for the help.

MiamiNicole, hope we are on speaking terms that one post was pretty nasty. Glad you escaped, I finally got tired of a fifty year old women telling me what to do, unless it is my mom, haha!

www.shopbop.com There is some stuff that is pricy but they have some nice things that are on sale. They have C & C California, Ella Moss, Foley + Corinna.

www.bananarepublic.com Can't go wrong with Banana Republic clothes! They have some great sales on their website.

www.nordstrom.com They have some fantastic swimsuits, and you know that if you have a problem with it you can easily return it.

What ports are you going to while on your cruise?

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestions, I am just hoping that I like what I order, I am super picky, but I really don't have any other options since I won't have time to shop when I get in (plus it will be december so not very good summer styles then, I need to do my shopping now). I will be on the CP, we are going to ports we have been to A LOT, but love them-St. Thomas, St. Marteen, & princess cays (not really my favorite). We love the days at sea and just being together since we all live all over the place. Thanks again!
