Open booking question. ..

In order to take advantage of the reduced deposit and the OBC, I placed an open booking. How long will I have before I have to pick my cruise? I want to book a cruise for October 2016 but it's too far out to do so.

I believe it never expires. Once you book your cruise if you cancel it you will lose your deposit. If you have to cancel a cruise you use with open booking just rebook another one and you won't lose anything

Of course, by then, it could be TOTALLY worthless instead of ALMOST worthless.

I keep a couple 'open bookings' ready to go for the short notice cruises. Every once in a while I spot a real bargain price a week or so before embarkation. I use the 'open bookings' for those. Something is better than nothing....

 

That said, most of our bookings are made on the ship to get max benefits.
