VFL Cruiser Posted October 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2014 In order to take advantage of the reduced deposit and the OBC, I placed an open booking. How long will I have before I have to pick my cruise? I want to book a cruise for October 2016 but it's too far out to do so. Once you book your cruise if you cancel it you will lose your deposit. If you have to cancel a cruise you use with open booking just rebook another one and you won't lose anything

And ever. Of course, by then, it could be TOTALLY worthless instead of ALMOST worthless. (Am I mad at RC over this? You betcha.)

You betcha.) I keep a couple 'open bookings' ready to go for the short notice cruises. Every once in a while I spot a real bargain price a week or so before embarkation. I use the 'open bookings' for those. Something is better than nothing.... That said, most of our bookings are made on the ship to get max benefits.
