mared1 Posted August 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2005 Anyone bid on this hotel through Priceline and get it? If so for how much? We would like to stay there January 2nd - 4th.
TrentS Posted August 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2005 Just an FYI - That is a PRIME time, it's not going to be cheap and will probably sell out without even having to use Priceline or any of the discount sites... Someone on here said they have a relative who works for Marriott and told them that they don't release inventory to those sites until 30 days out now, and the prices are a lot higher than before. Fort Lauderdale is very expensive this winter with dramatically increased tourism and the very popular King Tut exhibit being in town December 15 to April 23. doone Posted August 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 19, 2005 I am hoping to get this hotel for Feb, so far, no luck. Did receive it the last two years on priceline, great hotel. Keep trying, but perhaps book a cancellable back up hotel just in case.
Northender Posted August 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2005 I got it in August 2004 for April 2005. Bid 3*downtown FLL. Paid $80+tax. Nice hotel. Keep trying but good advice from doone. The Hyatt Pier 66 is also very nice.:)
jerseygirl3 Posted August 19, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2005 I gave up trying to get this hotel through Priceline. We love the hotel and always stay there precruise, but I thought I'd see if I could get a good price through Priceline. No go...I opted to take out a Marriott Visa credit card and now have enough points for two free nights in February. Otherwise, the cost was $359 per night.
