Sailing from Tampa

Hi,

The airport is actually about 30 min. to the ocean & 20 min. to the port. This will vary according to traffic. A little more or less. They are in opposite directions. The body of water you see that is close to the airport may be Tampa Bay. TPA is a neat airport to fly into. If it's daylight, it looks like you're going to land in the water. At the last minute, the runway appears. I can't help on the transfers in TPA (I live here), but getting to the port shouldn't be a problem. Have fun on your cruise. :)

I have looked at a map and it seems the Tampa airport is very close to the ocean. Is it close to the pier? Also if we go with the cruise air, does that include transfers back and forth to the pier?

Yes, cruise air normally includes the transfers.... an easy way to get back and forth without the hassle of competing for taxis, especially on the way home after the cruise.
