Can't find purple shoes, can you help?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,
I have a dark purple dress and am looking for purple shoes to match. I have looked in "every" retail store in our area and have since turned to online sources. I have found a couple that I really like, but they are sold out. Do you have a website or catalog source that you like to use?

I am looking for dressy, but not formal, no particular height. Here is one that I liked, but that was sold out

I have black, but it would look a lot better with purple. Any ideas for me?

I thought these were cute, but you did not list your size.

Julie, I recently bought a couple of pairs of dress sandals at Stein Mart and saw several lavendar dress sandals and even one pair of purple dress sandals. Don't know if you even have a Stein Mart where you are.

You could also possibly wear a dull, satin, silver colored dress sandal like I have with your pretty purple...all depends on the jewelry you wear and beads or sequins you may have on your dress. Still though, you could wear the silvery color even without any silver embellishment on your person....LOL! Good luck on your search.

Thanks so much for the tips!

My dress is a business-type "lab coat" style, tank dress with a jacket. I will probably just wear the under dress, which falls just below knee length and solid colored. (This is for just a regular night.)

I wear size 7 1/2 (shoe, that is ). Also, I wanted to mention that I am looking in the less than $60 range. I do have other shoes I can fall back on, and I already splurged on my pink floral Carlos Santana sandals .

I found these on Zappos (great site!), but I am not sure the style is right for me. The spots you see are purple sequins or little jewels. What do you ladies think of the lucite heel? I tend toward the more practical, so I'm not sure I would wear these outside a cruising situation.

What do you think?

Kathy,
Thanks for the Nordstrom link. I was at their store recently, and did not see these, so maybe they are only available online. I will check it out further.

We do not have Stein Mart around these parts. I'll search for a website when I finish this post.

Thanks a lot for your help and opinions!

OMG, I have those shoes in the purple, wear them a lot, great with a purple tee and jeans for just bouncing around or with a dress or skirt. Go for them, they really are terrific. Debbi

I love the "annie's". I'll bet they're the shoes that you'd get just for the cruise, and then end up wearing all the time!

The Annie's are great! I originally bought them for a cruise outfit, and find I wear them all the time.
OT;
it is an interesting cruise list this year isn't it? Doing our first Celebrity with the Millie in December, DH and I always take a 7 - 10 day before the holidays as a quiet get-away before the crazies begin. Did Tahiti in February with 3 other couples, we were all celebrating anniversaries, 20,25, 25 & 30 respectively. Then we got a great deal on QM2 a last minute for next week, just couldn't resist and since we have sailed the original 5 times am quite anxious to compare her Debbi

Thanks debbi,
for the shoe insight . I think I'll go with them, since it seems that people consider them comfortable and fairly versatile.

If you don't mind my asking, what kind of deal did you get last-minute on the QM2? She is first and foremost on my wish list!!! I visited the QM in 94, she was permanently docked in Long Beach, but still very impressive.

our TA has had us waitlisted for anything in June or July for months. Got a call last week and we got a B5, l night hotel pre-cruise in London airfare and transfers for $5100 total. Terrific since the cabin alone has been going for around $3200 per person. Just another reason why we only use a TA we know. Enjoy the shoes and Zappo's Debbi
