Did you try contacting your travel insurance company?

 

I was stranded once by a cancelled flight but one call to travel insurance got a new flight booked and a claim in hand for all accomodation costs and a daily food allowance until the next flight out.

Sorry its been so long before I could get back to you all with an update. It has taken some time to sort all of this out.

To cut a long story short, the airline paid out full compensation for the bumped flight and they covered all expenses in Venice. RCI finally admitted that they did not fulfil their contract for the package holiday and they have also awarded compensation, covered all other expenses not covered by the airline and also gave us cash vouchers to use for future cruises.

Smiles all round and renewed confidence in RCI. Looking forward to cruising with them again. Going P&O this year though to put a little healing time between us.

We have a cruise credit to use within the year for problems last Nov on Oasis so not long.
