Just booked the Freedom for July 2015. I reserved cabin 8425 and now I'm wondering if this will be a too noisy. Has anyone booked deck 8 on freedom?

leaving on the 15th in room 8421 will let you know how the noise level is on my return.I don't think it should be too noisy .The Lido buffet opens at 7 and closes at 10 shouldn't affect your sleeping

I honestly couldn't imagine that it would be that bad or anything. I think you'll be fine. Never cruised on deck 8 though so I guess I can't say for sure...but I feel like there are A LOT worse places to be than deck 8, hehe.

From the deck plan, it looks like you may hear more noise from the elevator and stairs just outside your cabin than from above. I've had several mid ship or aft verandah cabins on the Conquest and Valor (similar design), and noise from above was not an issue for me.

We've stayed on deck 8 twice so far. Cabins 8262 and 8263. No problems even though they are by the elevators. Next cruise, in Feb 2015 we will be in 8260. Love this area/location on the Freedom.

We were in 8304 and you didn't hear much noise. Once in awhile you would hear a chair scrape from above but not a real problem.

We have sailed on a few ships & were below the lido deck. It wasn't noisy. Plus we could run up & get hot food to eat with the cold breakfast room service.
