momof2ky Posted November 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2014 Just booked a crown loft suite on Allure of the seas…travel agent said beds could be pulled apart in the upstairs bedroom….I just called RC and they said it cannot> Other websites say the beds can be pulled apart. Has anyone ever been in a Crown Loft Suite on Allure that would know for sure if they can be pulled apart? Thanks!
utopiahereicome Posted November 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2014 We had a Crown Loft suite on the Oasis, and the bed upstairs was pulled apart.

pcutrone Posted November 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2014 Yes, they absolutely pull apart. I had a Crown Loft in August and we had separate beds upstairs. Great cabin. Enjoy!
momof2ky Posted November 5, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted November 5, 2014 great! My travel agent is talking to them now and RC is insisting that they do not pull apart…….Wonder what the confusion is?
setsail Posted November 5, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 5, 2014 Ask here, Ken just got off Oasis staying in a cls, he will be glad to answer you. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2115379
julesbeara Posted November 5, 2014 #7 Share Posted November 5, 2014 (edited) I have stayed in a Crown Loft Suite twice on the Allure, and the bed upstairs had a regular king size mattress. Taking it apart was not an option. The couch downstairs opens to a smaller queen size bed it you need two sleeping areas. Note: You can request a pillow menu (loved this). momof2ky Posted November 9, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted November 9, 2014 OK, this is why I am so confused.. Some people at RC say it can- others say it can't. THen some of you say it can- others say it can't… Does anyone know if they have roll away beds?
momof2ky Posted November 9, 2014 Author #11 Share Posted November 9, 2014 @julesbera and lioness, did you guys actually TRY to pull the beds apart? Because another posted above you said their beds were apart….. thanks!
Rare Lionesss Posted November 9, 2014 #12 Share Posted November 9, 2014 Morning. When we sailed the CL twice on the Allure it was one great mattress. Not like the GS where it was two mattresses pushed together and they had a pad down the middle under the sheets to avoid the gap. Sea Ya
momof2ky Posted November 9, 2014 Author #13 Share Posted November 9, 2014 this is what I was afraid of! I booked this suite for 3 women who do not like sleeping in a bed with someone else( unless it's our husbands- but they can't go!). the RC rep said we could pull the beds apart. Now after final payment has been made, i hear you can't pull them apart. $10,000 ayer, I am dreading this. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? Can they bring in a roll away bed. Cruzin-K Posted November 9, 2014 #14 Share Posted November 9, 2014 Rather than start a new thread, maybe I can just ask here. On RCI ships, I believe the beds can be separated in a GS. What about an OS? I guess I just want to know whether or not to refuse an upgrade if offered one on my spring cruise. We're currently in a GS and need two beds. We're on the Serenade, if that makes a difference.

Thanks Bob! :) I guess if an upgrade to an OS happens, I can suck it up and sleep on the sofa bed, but I think I'd prefer staying in the GS. I don't think the OS would have any benefits over the GS that we'd really care about.

Actually, I've read that some women do not like the separate shower in the OS because it's harder to shave their legs.
