Is there a convenience store between FLL and Port Everglades?

We are taking a taxi from FLL to Port Everglades and would like to pick up a 12 pack of soda, and some snacks along the way. Is there a convenience or grocery store along the way?

Thanks to our friend Google Maps, I noticed that the North Port entrance is off the 17th Causeway at Eisenhower Blvd. Just before Eisenhower is a Chevron gas station/mini mart, there is also a Publix grocery store at the Harbor Shops.

On 17th St...right before the entrance to the cruise port is a Walgreens. :o

The Publix mentioned above will have the best selection and prices. Aso, in case you are interested in wine, there is a Total Wine store in the same complex (Harbor Shops) as Publix.

I'd stop at a CVS, Walgreens or Publix anywhere along the way. As mentioned there are all three near the port. Just figure in adding $$ to your taxi rate and move fast to make it worthwhile ;)

Ok, any idea how much taxis charge per minute for waiting in Ft. Lauderdale?

 

I know the trip between airport and port is about $10-$15, but I'd like to know how fast my shopping spree needs to be!

We used Yellow Cab and I believe waiting time was about 40 cents a minute.

Have your list made and take another experienced shopper in with you to make it short and sweet.;)

 

If I sent my DH in, he'd stop to look at magazines after hunting for the things on the list. ;(
