dewee Posted November 6, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2014 Sailing on the just refurbished Pride this Sunday. Trying to plan what I will need for extra expenses beyond my OBC. Seeing that I am on antibiotics I probably won't be spending my OBC on alcohol I was wondering if it could be used in the casino via your S & S Card? I should know this answer but I guess the antibiotics have caused me to have a senior moment!

snc_cam Posted November 6, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 6, 2014 Thanks for the idea of how to use my OBC. Not too much of a drinker here...;) If it is refundable OBC then go to the kiosk and withdraw it as cash. Then you can use it any way you want. I use my OBC for tips/gratuities. dewee Posted November 6, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted November 6, 2014 Thanks to all of you for refreshing my memory. I have a good amount of OBC and need to spend it on something. I was planning on using it for gratuities and a few drinks but now that is out of the question. Can't let it go to waste so I guess the casino will be mandatory on this trip! So I just went into mine. 1. Go to Cruise Details for this booking 2. select View Cruise Documents 3. check the box for Print General Information and press the SUBMIT button 4. in the pop-up PDF, scroll down to Itemized Charges. If you have OBC, it will be in a box below the "Itemized Charges" box.

The only problem with booking last minute is that if it is a popular cruise, you may not get the cabin you desire. For off-season cruises like this one, it isn't a problem. But I have a repo cruise that has been pretty much fully booked within the first couple of months it became available. And the prices are over 60% higher and I doubt I will see it below what I paid. I'll know next time - or at least wait til the last minute to upgrade. :( Still a good price. We only cruise in early Dec - so you're right about off season availability

But family issues made us switch to the early Dec cruise. So am enjoying the price drops with ES :)
