ElaineB2 Posted June 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2004 We are going on an Alaskan cruise on June 20. Even though I will have to dress warmly on excursions, I want to wear my sandals with various outfits on the ship, especially at sea days. The temp. of the ship will be the same whether we are in Alaska or Caribean right? And, it is summer! Does anyone think this will look silly. zcat Posted June 3, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2004 Take them you won't look silly. I have been on 14 back to back Alaska cruises. Been there May, June August and most in September. You will see more jeans and sweaters during the day. Usually darker clothes at night. It can be warm, hot, or down right cold. Dress layers. There is a wonderful sweater shop for alpaca sweaters in Juneau. Last year they were only $45.00. Take a look I bought 4 of them. They had some more expensive but I loved these. So wear your sandlesa and enjoy yourself I will be thinking of you and watching the port cams for the ships. Have fun.
Owen Posted June 3, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2004 We are on the Sapphire June 20 and I am taking sandels and a pair of shorts and a pair of capris and two pair of jeans. I'm also taking tee shirts and will buy a couple of sweatshirts or a sweater in a port if something strikes me. My jacket has a polar fleece zip out lining, so I figure i'm set.
